Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question? Our support team is here to guide you through each step of your treatment journey
with personal care and attention.
Can Kauvery Hospital support my care after I return home?
Yes. At discharge you receive a complete treatment summary, post-operative results, your immunosuppression schedule, and your transplant specialist's direct contact details. Remote follow-up consultations are available through My 1Health. Blood results and imaging from your home country can be sent to the Kauvery team for review.
Do I need to bring a donor, or does Kauvery use deceased donors?
For kidney and liver transplants, a living donor is strongly preferred. Deceased donor transplants are available through India's national programme (NOTTO) and Tamil Nadu's state programme (TRANSTAN). For heart and lung transplants, all organs come from deceased donors. ABO-incompatible and kidney swap programmes also available.
How do I start the organ transplant process at Kauvery Hospital from another country?
All organ transplant enquiries are handled by My 1Health.
