How long will I need to stay in China for GI treatment at UFH?
Stay duration depends on your procedure and diagnosis. Diagnostic gastroscopy or colonoscopy is a day procedure. Polypectomy or EMR is typically same-day or overnight. ESD for early GI cancer is 2 to 4 days inpatient. ERCP for bile duct stones is 1 to 3 days. POEM for achalasia is 2 to 3 days inpatient. Complex hepatobiliary or pancreatic cases vary by severity, usually 3 to 7 days plus a follow-up visit.
