Referral partners earn 5–15% of the total treatment cost for each successful patient referral, depending on the destination and hospital. Earnings depend on the number of referrals you make, and the types of procedures — a single cardiac surgery referral can generate significantly more than a wellness screening. Your dedicated RPM will walk you through the full commission structure during your graduation call.

Your CHWTP credential is valid for 12 months from the date you pass. To maintain your certified status, you complete a short annual recertification quiz (15 minutes, covering industry updates and new network developments) and pay a $49 renewal fee. This keeps your credential current and ensures you stay up to date with the latest developments in healthcare travel. If you choose not to renew, you retain full access to the hospital network, RPS platform, and your RPM — but you can no longer use the CHWTP designation on LinkedIn or in professional communications until you recertify.
