About Dr Reyaz Singaporewalla

Dr Reyaz Singaporewalla is a Senior Consultant Surgeon with over 25 years of experience in General and Endocrine -Head & Neck Surgery. In 2011, he established the Endocrine - Head & Neck Surgical Service at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) and later served as Deputy Head of the Department of Surgery from 2019 to 2020.

Dr Reyaz has clinical experience in Transaxillary Endoscopic Thyroid Surgery, a technique that avoids a visible neck incision in selected patients requiring thyroid surgery.

He also introduced Minimally Invasive Video-Assisted Thyroidectomy (MIVAT) in Singapore and published a clinical series of his first 100 cases in the ANZ Journal of Surgery, an international peer-reviewed publication.

These minimally invasive approaches are offered based on clinical suitability, with the aim of supporting recovery and cosmetic considerations where appropriate.
